Ephemeral architecture is not architecture with the permanence removed; it is a different discipline. A temporary room has one chance to be understood — often in a single visit, often in a photograph. The brief is intensity, not longevity. That changes how we draw: fewer moves, clearer silhouettes, materials chosen for the exact days they are needed.
Founded by architects, our studio treats a three-week installation with the same spatial rigour as a flagship. We begin with proportion, light and movement, then ask the temporary questions: can it be carried through a service door, assembled overnight, taken apart without damaging the venue, and reused somewhere else?
An event logistics company starts with the checklist. We start with the space the guest will remember. The checklist matters — it is simply not the idea.
Lightness is a construction strategy
At Al Ghadeer Emirati Crafts in Abu Dhabi, framed openings and layered walls become shelving, display and seating. The architecture is the furniture, so nothing extra has to be carried in or thrown away. At Emirates Signature for the Ataya Exhibition, slender terracotta and sage-green frames and translucent illustrated fabrics create a village of boutiques, cafés and lounges. Both projects are built on a small number of precise, repeatable decisions.
Reversibility is not a compromise on atmosphere. It is how you get atmosphere under real constraints: modular frames, fabric skins, planted islands, loose counters. Each component has a second life already implied, which is the honest version of sustainable temporary design.
Temporary does not mean disposable
Our Concept Dinner for a perfume brand uses mirrored stainless steel and velvet to move between light and shadow. The palette is restrained because the experience is short: a guest should understand the room in one glance and remember it as one image. Permanent design can afford discovery over years; ephemeral design must deliver the whole idea now.
That is why we develop these projects in CGI with real millimetre dimensions. The render is not just the sales image — it is the assembly study. We test the bay, the install sequence and the teardown before anyone books fabrication. Fewer surprises on site means less waste, fewer late-night fixes and a cleaner exit.
